2017 was the year that GracePointe sought Pursuing Companionship with Jesus above everything else in our lives. In this intimate pursuit of Companionship with Jesus we learned that this pursuing was a two way street; our pursuit of Jesus and His pursuit of us.
Throughout the year, we put the life of Christ under the microscope and looked at how He pursued His people and how they pursued Him.
Through these interactions we started to notice

many of the different ways God has Pursued us here at GracePointe and the different ways we have been pursing Him. Pursuing Companionship with someone can take on many different forms; however, the primary way that any relationship is built is by taking action. Watch the short video above to see the Steps God took towards us in 2017 and the steps that we took towards Him. And be sure to watch the sermons beneath to take a deeper look at our 2017.

Meetings With Jesus

Throughout this series, we put the life of Christ under the microscope and looked at how He pursued His people and how they pursued Him. Through these interactions we started to notice many of the different ways God has Pursued us here at GracePointe and the different ways we have been pursing Him.

Double Vision

Friends In High Places

Rules Are Rules

In the first sermon from this series, Pastor Scot discusses "Double Vision". In this message, we explore what happens in our lives when we try to reconcile the world view and God's view
In this message, we explore the story of the paralyzed man that was lowered through a roof, by his friends, to see Jesus.  What can this story tell us about the power and influence we can have on others?  Why Jesus didn't come for the "healthy" but for the "sick".
The Pharisees of Jesus' day died long ago, but their spirit lives on in congregations across the land.  How can we recognize if we have become like the Pharisees, and what did Jesus teach us about what we need to know to avoid becoming like those men?

Sometimes I Get Afraid

A Walking, Living, Breathing, Testimony For God

Let The Children In

The disciples headed out on their boat and right into a storm when they saw Jesus walking on the water.  Jesus knew all about the storm the disciples were about to encounter. He knew the wind and waves will be against them. He knew how they'll have to struggle with the oars. And he knew how they would react when he shows up...walking on the water. Maybe Jesus did this on purpose!  Maybe he intended to teach them a lesson on fear.
As we continue with the series, "Meeting With Jesus", Pastor Scot speaks about Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead.  What did it mean to the people of Lazarus' time and what does it mean to us today?
Continuing in our series, "Meetings With Jesus", we look at the story of the children who came to Jesus, and how the disciples tried to send them away.  How does this story relate to our relationship with the Savior today?

A Come To Jesus Moment

These Are The Essentials

Signs

We continue in the series, "Meetings With Jesus" with Pastor Scot's sermon, "A Come to Jesus Moment".  We have all heard this expression, but how does the literal meaning of this phrase relate to believers and non-believers alike?
"These Are The Essentials", continues our series;  "Meetings With Jesus".  What are the essentials of our walk with Christ?
Signs have always been used to get messages across to people.  The signs and miracles that Jesus did were intended to get this message across..."Pay attention, this is the Son of God!"

Re-finding Your First Love

Empowering For Adventure

What He Touches He Changes

What can we do to re-kindle that new found love for Jesus?  He has never lost it for us.  Join us as we hear from God's word and strengthen our relationship with the Lord.
Jesus chose "ordinary, unschooled" men to be his disciples. For 3 years he equipped them for a ministry that turned the world upside down. But how did Jesus change them so they were ready for that adventure, and how can he do the same for us?
Saul became a man on fire for Christ. He was a driven man. He was a changed man. Eventually his name was even changed...to Paul and Paul ultimately wrote half of our New Testament.  Paul is proof that whatever Jesus touches, He changes...including us.

All For Jesus

No Longer A Slave To Sin

Personal Relationship With Jesus

Is it possible to get so involved in serving that we forget who it is that we're here to serve? You bet it is.  Pastor Scot uses the story of Martha and Mary to help us examine what is most important in life

Do You Know Him?

What does it mean to know Jesus?  It means that you have a friend, a brother and a hero.  Do you know him?
Because of Christ's sacrifice for us, we no longer need to be a slave to sin.  Join Pastor Scot as he delivers a message of hope and truth.
Join Pastor Larry as he encourages us to not only have a relationship with Jesus, but to have a personal, honest relationship with him.
